Without proper maintenance, a football pitch can overtime be unsafe to play in. Therefore, it is important for you to conduct regular football pitch maintenance from time to time. In this article, we will discuss the various things that a pitch owner should look out for and to ensure that the football pitch is well maintained. 

Mowing 

The first thing you should ensure that is being done to your field is that it undergoes mowing. Mowing helps to stimulate grass growth and recovery after it has been used by athletes. 

Overseed

One common practise is to spread the seeds after a game to ensure that your seed back is well supplied. This is to ensure that plants will continue to grow constantly especially on areas that have been torn and voided due to wear and tear.

Water Your Plants

And of course, ensure that your grass is well watered. Remember that your grass needs the water to grow off and on season. 

Manage Traffic

Soil particles tend to grow closer and closer together, however aerification is done to ensure that the soil does not become too compact.
